Niños de la Luz: The Homeless Children of Honduras
The mission of the Children of the Light, Inc. (COTL) is to provide love and hope to the homeless street children of Honduras. COTL offers an alternative to life on the streets through the mercy and compassion of God imparted in both words and deeds.
Drug addiction is a significant problem in Honduras. Two of COTL’s most important goals is to help these children resist the temptation of drugs and to care for the already addicted. In order to achieve this, COTL provides a clean and safe haven away from the streets. With shelter, food, and spiritual guidance, needy children receive an education and loving attention in a safe family atmosphere. In this way they themselves can grow to become productive citizens who will, in turn, change the future of their country for the better.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsorship of $45 a month assists in the cost of school tuition and supplies, food, and health care for the children – all of the essentials to ensure they live full, happy lives and are able to work toward successful careers in the future. Your tax-deductible sponsorship is set up on a 12-month recurring cycle that is not automatically renewed and can be cancelled at any time.
