Coming Together in Christ and Moving Forward in Hope
VIDEO SERIES
Since we resumed Sunday Masses in May, Father Jim has been asking parishioners to imagine the possibilities of a post-pandemic parish Jesus offers us. The possibilities of such a parish asks to turn our focus to living out Christ’s mission rather than the maintaining programs, to evangelization and invitation rather than looking inward and maintaining a slow decline.
Beginning in Advent and continuing through Christmas, our parish will continue our Coming Together in Christ and Moving Forward in Hope initiative with a series of five evening sessions that will include videos and discussion. The videos are interviews with Father James Mallon, a priest who transformed his recently merged parish into a vibrant and thriving one, and who continues sharing his experience and approach through the Divine Renovation ministry. Each of the sessions will include introductory prayer and remarks, and viewing of a fifteen minute video, followed by facilitated discussion in small groups. The sessions will be conducted on-line via Zoom on Thursday evenings. The first one will be December 2nd at 7 p.m..
If you would like to learn more and to participate in this process for our parish in order to invite and support families into a parish experience of lifelong faith formation and discipleship, please register for the upcoming sessions here. You can view the videos below:
