AN INTERGENERATIONAL EVENT FOR THE WHOLE PARISH Our first Intergenerational Event of this year, Saints by Our Side, will be held in Seidel Hall on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 26, 27 & 28. These events provide an amazing ongoing faith formation experience for the whole family. Participants of all ages gather to build community, pray, and share in a variety of small-group activities, from which the participants may select according to their interests and abilities. Some of the activities will interest all ages, while others will appeal to more specific age groups. It provides a chance to step away from the hectic pace of life and attend to our spiritual growth. In this intergenerational parish event we will meet the saints and grow in an understanding of the role that the saints play in the life of the Church and in our own lives. The saints are role models, the heroes of our faith. But they also were real people. Participants will learn how saints can support them on their everyday spiritual journey, and how we all have the potential to be saints. Bring your children or grandchildren to create the building blocks of a prayer center that celebrates the presence of Christ in your lives and in your homes. Meet your fellow parishioners in a fun, prayerful, and interactive setting. We begin with a Gathering Activity and Prayer, followed by a Presentation. At some point we will share a meal together. We will round out the event with several activities and a Closing Prayer. Please bring a bagged or boxed meal for your family to enjoy. We will provide the paper goods and beverages. Please fill out the Registration Forms found at the exits of both of our churches and mail it to PO Box 5001, scan it and email to moriartycarol53@gmail.com , put it in the collection basket, or fax it to 203-263-7259 no later than Monday October 22, 2018. | 27 Intergenerational-Saints
